How to Play Keno

Four steps, no jargon. Then practice the whole loop in the simulator for free.

Keno is a numbers game where you pick 1 to 10 numbers from 80, the game draws 20 at random, and your payout depends on how many of your picks are drawn, your bet, and the game's paytable.

The four steps

STEP 1

Pick your numbers

Choose 1 to 10 numbers from a board of 80. More picks unlock bigger potential payouts and make top catches rarer.

STEP 2

The draw happens

The game draws 20 numbers at random from the 80. Every number has the same chance every round.

STEP 3

Count your hits

A hit, sometimes called a catch, is one of your picks appearing among the 20 drawn numbers.

STEP 4

The paytable sets the payout

Your payout equals your bet times the multiplier for your pick count and hit count. Paytables vary by casino, lottery, and game, and that variation is most of the difference in keno odds of winning money.
